Like many towns and villages in Italy, Capri has a funicular railway that runs up the side of a mountain. Tourists arriving by passenger ferry from Naples, Sorrento, and other ports disembark at the ferry terminal at Marina Grande. They can then take the funicular railway from the port area up to the Town of Capri.
