Mount Solaro on CapriCapri Italy Tourist Information and Vacation Guide |
Monte Solaro is the 589 meter high mountain located in the centre of the Island of Capri. Seen from the Town of Capri on the east side of the island, the mountain provides a spectacular backdrop for the community.
The town of Anacapri is located on a large plain on the west side of the Mount Solaro. From Anacapri, one can catch a chairlift to the summit of the mountain and enjoy a panoramic view of the island and surrounding sea. Hiking trails to the summit of the mountain also exist.
